Stem Cell & Other Regenerative Therapies

Canine stem cell and other regenerative therapies like Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) and IRAP are an exciting new area of veterinary medicine and is offered at Central Animal Hospital, an affiliate of Tampa Bay K9 Rehabilitation Center.

Mark C. Brown, DVM, CCRP was the first veterinarian in Pinellas County to become credentialed for harvesting and administering stem cells to aid in the treatment of canine osteoarthritis. IRAP (Interluken Receptor Antagonist Protein) an autologous protein harvested from the patient’s blood, has significant benefits for DJD especially elbow dysplasia.
