Dogs that have undergone spinal surgery commonly have limited mobility and even paralysis. It is critical to the recovery of the pet that they receive rehabilitation in the early post-operative period.
This is important because neurological recovery is a time-sensitive matter. We can begin rehab therapy as soon as sutures are removed from your dog’s surgery site, usually about two weeks after the surgery—the sooner, the better the outcome for recovery.
